Star Wars: Starfighter Breaks Tradition with A-List Casting
Since the inception of “Star Wars: A New Hope,” filmmaker George Lucas deliberately selected actors that were largely unrecognized to audiences. The exception was Sir Alec Guinness, a seasoned Hollywood veteran, whom Lucas believed would lend an air of authority to his groundbreaking space epic. For the rest of the cast, Lucas was adamant about avoiding actors he had previously worked with, opting instead for fresh faces.
