As a big Marvel fan, I’ve been following the progress of Daredevil: Born Again closely. It’s a bit strange that Season 2 is already out while they’re still filming Season 3! We’d gotten hints – thanks to some sneaky set photos – that Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage would be showing up. But honestly, Luke Cage himself just shared a picture that pretty much gave away a major story point for Season 3. It’s a bit of a spoiler, but I’m still excited to see how it all plays out!

Osgood Perkins previously gained attention with films like The Blackcoat’s Daughter and Gretel & Hansel, but his collaboration with Nicolas Cage significantly boosted his profile. He also worked with Maika Monroe, known for her roles in It Follows, The Guest, and Watcher, to create a truly unique cinematic experience in the 2020s. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perkins and Cage are teaming up again for another Longlegs film. While the ending of the first film seemed conclusive, and Cage’s character was a serial killer, the new movie will expand upon that same world – though it won’t be a direct sequel.

Even though no new Star Trek series are currently in production, there are still several episodes ready to be released. Season 4 of Strange New Worlds will premiere later this year, and Season 5 is already finished and scheduled for 2027. We can also expect Season 2 of Starfleet Academy to arrive around the same time. While the current creative direction led by Kurtzman seems to be ending, the transition could be smooth. The team behind Strange New Worlds has pitched a promising new Star Trek idea to Paramount, but if approved, the existing sets used for the current shows might not be suitable.

It was almost certain that the third season of Euphoria would spark debate, and the first episode didn’t disappoint. Since the show debuted in 2019, it’s often been controversial, mainly due to its graphic depictions of sex and nudity involving young characters. Despite this, Euphoria has also been widely celebrated for its powerful emotional storytelling and the impressive acting, especially from Zendaya, who has won two Emmys for her portrayal of Rue Bennett, a teenager battling drug addiction.

Several popular TV shows have already returned in 2026, including The Night Agent and Bridgerton (Netflix), The Boys and Invincible (Prime Video), The Pitt and Euphoria (HBO Max), and Shrinking and Your Friends & Neighbors (Apple TV), with many more on the way. With so many great shows returning, it can be tough to remember them all!

Perkins has teamed up with Paramount Skydance to create a new movie based on Longlegs. However, it won’t be a direct sequel. Instead, the film will build on the story introduced in the previous movie, featuring Nicolas Cage’s portrayal of the demonic killer.

But it’s Apple TV+’s Foundation – a grand adaptation of the classic novels – that’s really pushing the boundaries of space opera, successfully combining elements of both Star Wars and Game of Thrones.

Disney is well-known for bringing back beloved shows and movies, whether it’s recreating animated films with live actors or reviving popular series like Wizards of Waverly Place. Through its 20th Television studio, Disney has also brought back shows like Scrubs on ABC and Hulu. Now, another one of these revivals is on track to become a streaming hit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Osgood Perkins is working on a sequel to his successful 2024 film Longlegs. Nicolas Cage will reprise his role as the lead actor and also serve as a producer. Perkins is handling all directing, writing, and producing duties for the new movie.

Much of the disappointment with the ending of Game of Thrones stemmed from the shortened final seasons. This criticism was valid – the last two seasons felt rushed, trying to recapture the excitement of earlier seasons but instead speeding through important character arcs and major plot points. After the finale aired, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss faced strong reactions from both fans and critics. Many hoped they’d learned from this experience and wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes with their next project, but that hope proved to be misplaced.
