Eric Kripke, the showrunner for The Boys, recently shared good news about when season 5 will be released. He announced on July 2nd that filming for the final season of the popular Prime Video series had finished.
The world of the series has recently grown with season 2 of Gen V, a spin-off focusing on young superheroes at Godolkin University. Although Prime Video hasn’t officially renewed the show yet, the creator, Kripke, has said they are planning a third season.
Kripke announced that editing for season 5 of The Boys is finished, and post-production – including visual effects, music, and color correction – is about 50% complete. He hinted that the new season will arrive “soon.” He also encouraged fans who haven’t yet watched season 2 of Gen V to start watching, playfully asking what they’re waiting for.
