It’s already amusing to even ask this question. The fact that Brie Larson keeps getting asked it – knowing Jeremy Renner is constantly bombarded with it too – makes it even funnier that she’s the one asking. It feels like she’s playfully joining in on the joke. And Renner’s reaction? It’s hilarious, especially when he turns the question back around.

It’s understandable why people ask who’s in Avengers: Doomsday – Marvel is famous for keeping its secrets, even from the actors! Brie Larson might genuinely not know the full cast, and she’s simply curious. Simu Liu knew he’d be in the movie after the initial announcement, but was surprised by every other casting reveal. Alan Cumming even filmed fight scenes without knowing who his opponent was!
We don’t know yet if Jeremy Renner and Brie Larson will be in the new movie, and it’s possible their involvement is being kept secret. Either way, the two actors seem to be playfully teasing fans about whether or not they’ll appear.
The situation is made even more amusing by the possibility that both Larson and Renner already know if they’ll be in Avengers: Doomsday. Larson could be playfully asking a question she already knows the answer to – whether either of them will appear in the movie.
We might not find out all the actors in Avengers: Doomsday until the movie comes out in about fourteen months. Even if Jeremy Renner and Brie Larson aren’t part of the cast, that’s okay – it just means we’ll be able to start speculating all over again soon, as filming for Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to begin shortly.
