5 Years After Fast & Furious Debut, Paul Walker Starred in a Mafia Drama Set to Stream for Free

For fans who miss Paul Walker, one of his lesser-known movies will soon be available to watch for free. While few predicted that the original The Fast and the Furious from 2001 would become a huge global franchise, the performances of Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker made it happen. Five years after first playing undercover cop and street racer Brian O’Conner, Walker took on a different type of role in a film about the mafia.

Tubi, the free streaming service with ads, announced its November 2025 movie lineup. Among the titles coming to the platform is the 2006 action thriller Running Scared, starring Paul Walker. The film, written and directed by Wayne Kramer, will be available on November 1st. Walker plays Joey, a small-time member of the mafia, who finds himself in trouble when a gun he’s supposed to dispose of ends up in the hands of a child, pulling him further into a dangerous criminal world.

Tubi Reveals List of November 2025 Movies

Tubi is adding a bunch of great movies in November, including classics like The Godfather, Casino, and Space Jam. These titles, along with Running Scared, will be available to stream starting November 1st.

Tubi offers plenty for superhero and pop culture enthusiasts! You’ll find the DC films Shazam! (2019) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), plus the Marvel movie Punisher: War Zone from 2008. For those who love toys, Tubi has both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the G.I. Joe movies The Rise of Cobra and Retaliation.

Vin Diesel, known for the Fast & Furious movies, also starred in Riddick, a film released in 2013. It will be available on November 1st.

Let’s be real, who doesn’t love a freebie? If you’re tired of paying monthly for streaming services like Netflix or Disney+, there are actually a ton of free options out there. I recently checked out Tubi, which is owned by Fox, and it’s a surprisingly good way to watch movies and TV shows without spending a dime. The catch? You’ll see ads – think of them as short commercials sprinkled throughout whatever you’re watching. It’s a small price to pay for free entertainment, honestly!

As a movie critic, I’m seeing a real shift in how we watch things. It’s no longer just about paying for subscriptions. These free streaming services – like Pluto TV (owned by Paramount Skydance), The Roku Channel, and Amazon Freevee – are becoming major players. And it doesn’t stop there! Smart TVs are now packed with these FAST channels, offering tons of content you can watch without a fee, as long as you don’t mind a few ads. It’s a great option for viewers, and companies are definitely taking notice.

What’s Next for the Fast & Furious Franchise?

The latest Fast & Furious movie will likely be the final one—for the time being. Fast X: Part 2, the eleventh film in the main series, was initially planned for release in 2026, but its release date has been delayed because of challenges like the writers’ and actors’ strikes, and other reported problems.

I was really excited to hear Vin Diesel mention over the summer that they’re thinking about bringing John Cena back into the Fast & Furious family. Honestly, I’m not sure how they’ll make that happen story-wise, but as a fan who’s been with the series for a while, I’m definitely intrigued to see what they come up with!

Paul Walker’s Running Scared arrives on Tubi starting Nov. 1.
