The show FBI returned for its eighth season in Fall 2025 with a premiere that featured a major character death and the introduction of a new agent. Juliana Aidén Martinez, known for her role in Law & Order: SVU, will soon join the cast as Agent Eva Ramos, and upcoming episodes will show her working alongside Maggie Bell, played by Missy Peregrym.
Based on the photos, a preview of the plot, and comments from actress Rochelle Peregrym, the next episode, titled “Falsetto” and airing November 10th, promises to be packed with action.
What To Expect From “Falsetto”
The fifth episode of Season 8, titled “Falsetto,” will give viewers a chance to see how Eva Ramos is adjusting to the team at 26 Fed. Ramos is a new character debuting in the third episode of the season. While she’ll mainly be working alongside Scola – following Dani’s death in the premiere, which you can stream on Paramount+ – CBS reveals that “Falsetto” will shake up the usual pairings within the team.
Following a brutal stabbing in a New York City park, Maggie and Eva team up to track down a killer. When another murder occurs, they discover the perpetrator is targeting specific people, leading them to wonder who is on the hit list and who will be next, as investigated by the FBI.
Partner changes are common among the agents, though Maggie typically works with OA. According to showrunner Mike Weiss, who spoke with TopMob, the newest team member, Eva, brings a unique background – she started as a federal prosecutor before training at Quantico to become an FBI agent.
I heard this character is a blast in interviews, super charming and witty. But I just saw a still from “Falsetto” and it shows him actually doing the work, out and about, not just sitting and chatting. Check it out – it gives you a whole different vibe!

Looking at this first photo, it’s clear these FBI agents aren’t gearing up for a shootout – they’ve ditched the bulletproof vests with the big ‘FBI’ lettering. But then you see the next picture, and wow, things have changed! They’re fully armed, looking ready for anything, and have a whole team of other officers backing them up. It’s a real shift in atmosphere!

To see what happens with these two characters – and learn where OA and Scola end up – viewers will need to watch the “Falsetto” episode of the show on Monday, November 10th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. The episode will provide more details about what Missy Peregrym hinted at before Season 8, and will also reveal what happens with Isobel.
What Missy Peregrym Said About Maggie And Eva
I recently had a chance to chat with Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki before Season 8 of FBI started. At the time, we were still a few weeks away from meeting Juliana Aidén Martinez as the new character, Eva Ramos. Even though Eva hadn’t appeared yet, Missy had some really positive things to say about how Eva would fit into the team and about the episode where they first work together. Missy told me:
It’s great having her on the team! Her experience as a former prosecutor gives her a unique approach to interacting with both victims and suspects, which is refreshing. We’ve already had a chance to work together on an episode when the other guys were busy, and it was a lot of fun – just the two of us taking charge. She’s working closely with John Boyd, and I’m really excited to see what they accomplish together. It’s just been a really positive experience having her around.
After Tiff left the show, the writers decided they needed a partner for Scola who was his intellectual equal. It makes sense that Martinez will be working closely with John Boyd in Season 8, as they’re positioning her to be that match for him.

It looks like Maggie and Eva will take the lead and handle the action while OA and Scola are away. Plus, with Isobel surviving the events at the end of Season 7, she might join forces with them, creating a powerful team of three. Missy Peregrym also talked about how close the team is in the eighth season.
It’s incredibly easy working with Zeeko. When I worked with Juliana, we realized we needed to build in extra time because we hadn’t collaborated before. With Zeeko, we instantly understand each other. We can just show up on set and quickly decide who will handle what, making the process really smooth and enjoyable. It’s a very efficient and natural partnership.
Missy Peregrym shared her ideas for how to say goodbye to her characters Maggie and Tiff earlier in Season 7, and she also offered thoughts on how to integrate Juliana Aidén Martinez’s character, Eva, into the team. “Falsetto” marks Martinez’s third appearance on the show. This is a contrast to Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki, who have played partners Maggie and OA for over a hundred episodes, leading Peregrym to discuss what she finds most comfortable about working with Zaki.
Working together for so long makes everything much smoother. That comfort and genuine connection really comes across on screen, which is great. What we have off-camera naturally translates to our performances, and that’s exactly what you want when collaborating with someone so often.
Don’t miss new episodes of FBI on CBS Mondays at 9 p.m. ET! The show will explore Isobel’s recovery and introduce a new agent to the team. Fans of the Law & Order universe may recognize Juliana Aidén Martinez, who previously starred in Season 26 of Law & Order: SVU. Be sure to watch the special episode featuring Eva and Maggie on November 10th.
