The TV series Cross, adapted from James Patterson’s popular novels, will be back for a second season on February 11, 2026. The show’s creator recently shared some unexpected twists that viewers can look forward to in the upcoming episodes.
In a recent interview, showrunner Ben Watkins explained that the new season will build on the elements fans enjoy while also introducing some surprises. He emphasized the importance of a strong villain – or villains – as well as maintaining the show’s thrilling nature and pushing the main character, Alex Cross, to his absolute limits. According to Watkins, the upcoming season will deliver all of these key components.
The second season will delve deeper into the personal lives of beloved characters, including Detective John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa), Alex Cross’s partner. Creator Watkins hinted at unexpected team-ups and how these new pairings will shift existing relationships and dynamics throughout the season.
We’ll continue following Cross on exciting adventures, just like in Season 1. But this season, we’ll also learn more about John Sampson’s past and what shaped him into the person he is, which should be really interesting.
