In a recent interview with EW, Marvel executive Kevin Winderbaum revealed more about Josh Hutcherson’s character and how he’ll fit into the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 storyline involving Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. He confirmed Hutcherson will play a new adversary for Kingpin, someone with comparable power and influence.
The character played by Matthew Lillard, Mr. Charles, is a key player in a story centered around power dynamics. As Wilson Fisk consolidates control over New York, becoming a major international force, Mr. Charles emerges as a new antagonist with influence comparable to Fisk’s. The narrative explores high-stakes negotiations between powerful figures, with Mr. Charles caught between Fisk and Daredevil, and feeling the pressure from both sides. The new series, Daredevil: Born Again, is led by showrunner Dario Scardapane, with Kevin Feige and several others serving as executive producers. The show stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil (Matt Murdock), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin (Wilson Fisk), and features returning cast members Jon Bernthal as Punisher (Frank Castle), Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk.
