Recently revealed Star Wars concept art showcases a remarkably well-designed Sith character unlike anything we’ve seen before. While Star Wars has introduced many powerful Sith Lords over the years, very few have been considered truly perfect by fans. This new design, however, might have been the closest yet.
Recent concept art from Disney+’s *The Acolyte* appears to reveal a Sith character that was originally planned for the show but ultimately cut. Fans are impressed with the character’s design, which shows a masked figure facing off against a hero with a lightsaber, as shared by artist Brian Matyas on Star Wars Holocron.
This dark-side character from the High Republic wears a completely black mask, similar in style to those worn by the Knights of Ren. They also have armored shoulder pads that look like the ones used by Darth Vader’s Inquisitors.
Honestly, the Sith Acolyte designs were incredible! It’s such a shame we never actually got to see that character in a movie or show. I really loved the look of them.
We don’t know if this character was a villain originally planned for the 2024 show but later removed, or if it’s a suit of armor Amandla Stenberg’s character, Mae, might have used if she’d embraced a darker, more powerful side.
This artwork blends popular Sith characters like Darth Vader, Revan, Count Dooku, and Kylo Ren, and could become a definitive exploration of alternate Star Wars possibilities for fans.
For fans of the Sith, *The Acolyte* delivered with Manny Jacinto’s character, Qimir. He’s a mysterious Force user who wears a mask and dark robes – a different look than the armored designs originally envisioned for the character.
Now available on Disney+, *The Acolyte* follows two twins with a connection to the Force during the High Republic era. Years after being separated, they reunite, uncovering a Jedi conspiracy that threatens the galaxy’s peace.
What Happened to The Acolyte’s ‘Perfect’ Sith Character?
As a huge Star Wars fan, seeing this awesome Sith concept is a bit of a gut punch, especially considering how much debate *The Acolyte* sparked when it finally came out. But honestly, this kind of thing happens all the time with big projects like a new Star Wars series – cool ideas often end up being cut before the final version.
It’s currently unknown if this Sith character is entirely original, just a different look for Qimir (played by Manny Jacinto), or an outfit one of the twins (played by Amandla Stenberg) might have used.
Upon closer inspection of the image, the Jedi facing the dark side user appears to be either Osha, played by Stenberg, or Master Indara, portrayed by Carrie-Anne Moss.
This scene could have shown a different version of Indara’s murder, which started the Star Wars show. Or, it might have been a concept for a fight between the twins, Mae and Osha.
Either way, whoever is under that Sith mask is looking fierce in this unused look for The Acolyte.
