Paramount Pictures just released a new trailer for *The Running Man*, a movie based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel. This isn’t the first film adaptation – Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in a version back in 1987. The action-packed thriller will be in theaters on November 14th.
Set in the not-too-distant future, *The Running Man* is the most popular show on TV – a brutal contest where participants, called Runners, have to stay alive for 30 days while being pursued by skilled killers. The entire hunt is televised, and the public eagerly watches as the cash prize grows with each passing day. Ben Richards, a working-class man desperate to pay for his daughter’s medical care, is persuaded by the show’s manipulative producer, Dan Killian, to compete as a final hope. However, Ben’s determination and fighting spirit unexpectedly make him a popular favorite – and a problem for the show’s creators. As viewership soars, the danger increases, and Ben must not only evade the Hunters, but also a country obsessed with seeing his downfall.

What happens in The Running Man trailer?
I just saw the trailer for this new movie, and it looks incredible! It stars Glen Powell – you might recognize him from Top Gun: Maverick – and he plays a guy named Ben Richards. He’s basically forced into this insane survival game show to save his family. The prize is a billion dollars, but the catch is he has to survive for 30 days while people are actively trying to kill him! The trailer is packed with intense action sequences showing him fighting for his life. What’s really interesting is how the movie seems to position him as this underdog hero the everyday person can really get behind, going up against some seriously powerful enemies. I’m already rooting for him!
