Apparently, this is his first big acting gig, and he’s playing Vega. Kitao Sakurai is directing, and Legendary Entertainment is behind it. It’s cool to see some behind-the-scenes shots – looks like they had a blast!

After two months of filming @streetfightermovie in Australia, director Justin Peck announced the wrap of production. He shared that the experience was filled with incredible memories and challenges, and he deeply appreciates the amazing cast and crew he worked with.

He shared that the dedication, effort, joy, and struggles poured into making the film are something only the team truly understands. He’s excited for everyone to finally experience the film’s artistry and the positive energy they brought to set each day. Peck finished by saying he’s returning to his music and spending time with his dog, but will see everyone again in October 2026, playfully ending with a reference to the video game Street Fighter.

After making his Broadway debut as the Emcee in the recent production of Cabaret, Peck is now involved in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Dalan Musson wrote the screenplay, and the film boasts a large cast including Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian, Andrew Schulz, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vidyut Jammwal, Olivier Richters, Eric André, Cody Rhodes, Hirooki Goto, Mel Jarnson, Rayna Vallandingham, and Callina Liang.

This movie is based on the popular Street Fighter video game series, which first began in 1987 and has become a huge hit around the world. Actor Peck will be playing the character Vega in the film, scheduled for release in October 2026.
