During an appearance on We’re Not Kidding with Mehdi & Friends, Mark Ruffalo was asked if he identified more with Captain America or Iron Man. He answered, “Captain America.” He also confidently asserted that Hulk could defeat both Superman and Red Hulk, declaring, “No one beats the Hulk.”

Mark Ruffalo first portrayed Bruce Banner / The Hulk in The Avengers (2012). He often discusses what-if situations within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as the plot of Captain America: Civil War (2016). He has stated that his personal beliefs are more in line with Captain America and believes his version of The Hulk would have supported Steve Rogers during the conflict, despite the movies depicting Bruce Banner as having a stronger friendship with Tony Stark.

Ruffalo highlighted the consistent work as something he particularly enjoys about being with Marvel. He explained, “I honestly never expected to have a stable, long-term job. It is my steady job.”

The actor also addressed rumors regarding his future with Marvel. When asked about the possibility of Hulk appearing in a new Spider-Man movie, he said, “I can’t confirm or deny it. That’s what I’m reading.” He explained that being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe felt special, offering a feeling of family and a lasting career – something unusual in an industry where actors often jump from one project to another.

Ruffalo also talked about his involvement in politics, sharing his thoughts on worldwide conflicts, and how he manages to work on both big-budget movies and more serious, artistic films.
