Dancing With The Stars’ Andy Richter Is Killing Me With These Hilarious Rehearsal Videos, But They’re Not Addressing My Biggest Worry For The Next Round

Dancing With The Stars Season 34 is off to a fantastic start, already setting new records! A lot of that success is due to the amazing group of contestants this year. We’re seeing a really diverse mix of dancers, and the votes are coming in strongly for both the expected frontrunners and even those considered long shots. For example, Andy Richter just barely made it to Week 3, and I’m not sure he’ll last much longer, judging by some of his funny practice videos.

Andy Richter is genuinely funny, whether you’re watching him on TV or meeting him in person – he’s just as witty with fans as he is with former late-night competitors. While he’s a much stronger comedian than dancer, I’ve been watching his recent videos and it strikes me that the same dedication he puts into his comedy should also be apparent in his dancing. It’s about effort, and showing that commitment in all areas.

Andy Richter And Emma Slater Are Killing It With Funny TikToks

Emma Slater is really focused on making it far in Dancing With The Stars with her partner, Andy Richter. To help boost their chances, they’re creating videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok. If you haven’t watched them yet, they’re quite good! Here’s a sample:

As Andy Richter points out, it seems like Dancing With The Stars is largely about who’s the most popular. Therefore, creating fun content and dances should help them stay on the show. I think their strategy is smart, but they need to remember something while they’re coming up with ideas for online content.

Andy Needs To Actually Improve As A Dancer To Survive In Dancing With The Stars

While being well-known helps on Dancing With The Stars, it isn’t enough to guarantee success. Emma Slater saw this firsthand last season when she partnered with Reginald VelJohnson. Although he paid tribute to Die Hard, it couldn’t hide the fact that he struggled to keep pace with the other dancers for very long.

More On Dancing With The Stars

It was great to see Boston Rob cheering on Dylan Efron at the Dancing With the Stars premiere, but what really caught me off guard was how the dancers from the Eras Tour came out to support Jan Ravnik.

I believe it’s crucial for Andy Richter to use every opportunity he gets in this competition. However, if his dancing doesn’t get better, his fans might not support him for much longer. It only takes one of their preferred contestants being eliminated instead of him, and his lack of skill compared to the others will quickly stop being seen as charming. It’s a tough situation, and improvement is key.

Currently, Richter seems dedicated to growing as a dancer and showing improvement. Hopefully, we’ll continue to see this progress as Dancing With The Stars Season 34 moves into Week 3 and beyond, especially since the cast is incredibly talented. If he can consistently get better, I believe he’ll stay on the show, but he needs to demonstrate a much bigger improvement than we’ve seen in the first two weeks.

Dancing With The Stars is still on for 2025, airing today (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC. Tonight’s episode, themed “TikTok Night,” will feature popular viral songs and dances, and we’ll find out who will be eliminated.
