Just a heads up, Netflix recently added a fantastic show you’ll love! We’re always looking ahead to the 2025 TV lineup, but the streamer also just made Season 2 of the AMC series Interview with the Vampire available. It aired in 2024 and has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – you definitely need to stream it with your Netflix subscription ASAP. Trust me, you’re going to want to dive into this one!

The Rotten Tomatoes scores tell the whole story. This TV show, based on Anne Rice’s popular book series, has a remarkable 99% approval rating, demonstrating the widespread praise this fantastic vampire series has earned over time.

I recently became completely captivated by this project. Season 1 has been on Netflix for some time, and I watched it with a close friend and her partner, who were already huge fans of the show and the books it’s based on. They were so enthusiastic, I decided to check it out, and I immediately loved it. It was irresistible. I really fell for it.

Naturally, we started watching Season 2 right away, so we signed up for AMC+ for a short time. That’s where new episodes of Interview with the Vampire and other content from the Anne Rice world are released.

But good news – it’s now showing on another platform, and I really mean it when I say: you should watch this show immediately, it’s absolutely brilliant!

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, the first two seasons of Interview with the Vampire retell the story from the original book. It’s narrated by Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), who recounts how he became a vampire after meeting Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) in New Orleans in the early 1900s. He shares this story – and details of his immortal life – with a journalist named Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) in the present day.

This is a passionate and dramatic story about longing, attraction, and giving in to temptation, centering around Louis, Lestat, and their journey into the life of vampires. However, the season feels quite isolated. There’s a limited number of vampires shown, and the main focus is on Louis and Lestat’s complicated – to say the least – love story, which is driven by their strong and obvious connection.

Season 2 begins shortly after the conclusion of Season 1, taking place in Paris. The story introduces new vampires, and Louis, along with Claudia (played by Delainey Hayles) – a key character from Season 1 – finds themselves entangled with them. As they navigate their new existence, they uncover the rules, history, and conflicts surrounding the world of vampires.

Season 2 feels like a real improvement over the first, diving deeper into how memory works and the narratives we create. The story is being remembered by Louis many years after the events, which adds a fascinating layer. It’s compelling, intense, and utterly captivating – you’ll probably binge-watch the whole thing!

Also, it’s crucial to jump on board now, as there’s much more content on the way – and I mean a lot more. First, Interview with the Vampire will be back in 2026 with a new title, The Vampire Lestat. The show will now focus on Sam Reid’s character, a French rockstar vampire, and adapt the storyline from the second book in the series. In addition to this fantastic show about eternal life, the Anne Rice universe on AMC includes the series Mayfair Witches and a brand new show called Talamasca, which will debut its first season on October 26.

There’s plenty to be excited about, but first, you absolutely must watch this amazingly popular series on Netflix as quickly as you can.
