Fans adore comic-accurate costumes in Avengers: Doomsday
Fans are reacting to updated character designs in the new film. One commenter praised the redesigned Magneto, calling it a much-needed improvement. Others were surprised by Thor’s new, shorter haircut, which echoes his style from *Infinity War* and is being carried over into this latest movie.
Fans also noticed a new look for Namor. Photos suggest he’ll be much closer to his comic book appearance in the upcoming film, featuring a black-and-gold suit and a powerfully built physique. One image also showed him with a beard and surrounded by water effects.
The Fantastic Four’s new costumes are getting a lot of attention, with many fans happy they’re keeping the classic look but adding jackets. One commenter specifically praised Reed Richards’ jacket, noting it resembles a lab coat. Images released show the team – Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny – wearing blue and white suits with the added jackets.
The reveal of Cyclops also generated a lot of buzz online. One fan celebrated the character’s new look, tweeting, “WE GETTING COMIC ACCURATE CYCLOPS,” and sharing artwork of him in his classic blue and yellow costume with a visor. Many others simply called the entire lineup reveal amazing, describing it as an “Absolute BANGER.”
New promotional images reveal that Doctor Doom, Magneto, Cyclops, Namor, and the Fantastic Four will appear in the movie, along with Thor and other Marvel characters. Filming, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, finished earlier this week.
The next Avengers movie, titled Doomsday, is planned to come out on December 18, 2026. After that, Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
