Season 2 of Gen V began on September 17, 2025, continuing the story from the end of Season 1. The first episode, titled “New Year, New U”, included a tribute to Chance Perdomo, shown as “For Chance” immediately after the opening credits.

It’s with a heavy heart I have to report the passing of actor Marco Perdomo, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in Upstate New York this past March. He was on his way to Toronto to begin filming the second season of *Gen V*. Authorities believe the accident happened sometime between the late evening of March 29th and the early hours of March 30th. In a classy move, the producers of *Gen V* have decided not to recast his role, but instead will be rewriting the script for Season 2 as a mark of respect to Perdomo and his memory.

What happens to Andre in Gen V Season 2?

Andre played a significant role in the first season of Gen V. After the actor passed away, the show’s writers decided to have his character die off-screen.

The first episode of Season 2 opens with Jordan Li and Emma Myers being driven to a mysterious place. It’s soon revealed they’ve arrived back at Godolkin University. Cate Dunlap greeted them as they got out of the truck, and immediately noticed Andre wasn’t with them, asking where he was. Instead of answering, Jordan playfully challenged Cate to read his mind.

Although we don’t see the event itself, viewers hear a recording of a tense situation involving gunshots. A woman, likely Emma, says, “We need to go back,” suggesting the group may have attempted to escape but were unsuccessful, ultimately leading to Andre’s death.
