The Conjuring 4 Director Says Matt Rife & Annabelle Could Be in Phase 2

Michael Chaves, who directs “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” playfully discussed potential future installments of the series with comedian Matt Rife and Annabelle character. Interestingly enough, despite “Last Rites” being billed as the last film in the Conjuring saga (with a total of nine films so far – four Conjuring movies, three Annabelle spin-offs, and two The Nun films), he hinted at the possibility of more to come.

As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but entertain the thought I recently had about the next installment of The Conjuring series: why not introduce comedian and actor Matt Rife to the mix? This idea sprang up after Rife shared on social media that he acquired the house and occult museum once owned by Ed and Lorraine Warren. In our current films, Patrick Wilson skillfully brings Ed to life, while Vera Farmiga masterfully plays Lorraine. Could this be a hint at things to come?

Chaves stated to Entertainment Weeky that the second phase of the Conjuring series might start with Rife experimenting with the viral components associated with each artifact, but things take a disastrous turn instead.

As a devoted fan, I must admit that I’m genuinely puzzled by Rife’s decision. While chuckling slightly, I voiced my worries for the comic. “I’m really worried…really worried,” I expressed. “I guess I don’t know. As long as he has his instructions or whatever the ritual is, everything should be alright, I assume. I find myself intrigued. I haven’t delved deep enough into it to understand why he made that choice.

In August, Rife declared on Instagram that he had purchased both the Warrens’ house and their Occult Museum. He further stated that as part of the deal, he would be responsible for managing the entire haunted collection, including the Annabelle doll, along with his friend Elton Castee, for at least the next five years.

As an avid enthusiast, I couldn’t help but share my passion for the eerie and unexplained – specifically, the paranormal world and its haunted locales. I can’t get enough of the Conjuring movies! Moreover, during our conversation, I hinted at exciting plans to offer overnight stays and museum tours at the property, giving fellow fans an opportunity to immerse themselves in this captivating realm of the supernatural.
