Alien: Earth’s Eye Monster Leaves Fans Horrified & Thrilled

As a movie enthusiast with a passion for the Alien series, I must say that the introduction of the terrifying ‘eye monster‘ in Alien: Earth has sent shivers down my spine and left me on the edge of my seat! This creature, known as Trypanohyncha Ocellus or T. Ocellus, made its debut when a Weyland-Yutani vessel called the Maginot had an unfortunate crash-landing in New Siam, causing an unsettling chain of events that left fans like me absolutely thrilled and terrified!

Fans are really impressed with Alien: Earth’s eye creature

A multitude of fans of the series “Alien: Earth” have showered the latest terrifying creature, the eye monster, with high praise. This new addition to the cast was unveiled in the initial episode, hovering within a confinement unit on the Maginot, and its chilling capabilities swiftly unfolded throughout the show.

Yesterday, following the airing of the fifth episode of “Alien Earth” on both FX and FX on Hulu, @RealLifeRyan_ hopped onto a platform (previously known as Twitter) and posted a snapshot of the terrifying eye creature. In the caption, they expressed their appreciation for the episode, stating that if the fifth episode were expanded, it could have been its own movie-worthy production.

This ominous entity, often referred to as the ‘eye creature’, boasts several irises, pupils, and tentacles that are tinted pink. It’s considerably larger than a human eye. The striking similarity to a human body part adds to its unnerving aspects. It seems capable of overpowering the nervous systems of various organisms by forcibly replacing one of their eyes with itself, essentially taking possession of their eye sockets.

During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the series producer Noah Hawley discussed the unsettling scene from Episode 4, where the monster with the ability to control through eyes is showcased on a sheep. In this particular scene, Boy Kavalier (played by Samuel Blenkin) and Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) conduct an experiment by allowing the eye monster to attack the sheep. Hawley described it as one of the most disturbing scenes you might encounter throughout the entire year.

In simpler terms, the screenwriter drew a comparison between the unyielding nature of this creature and the facehugger. Later on, he mentioned that due to our common aversion to eyes, it seemed as though the design was intentionally crafted to tap into this deep-seated genetic discomfort.

New episodes of Alien: Earth come out weekly on Tuesdays.
