Collectibles from the franchise are still being released regularly, including items based on its recent rebooted movies. The latest comes from a company gaining popularity for their Evangelion merchandise, and showcases a powerful transformation seen in the films.
The threezero EVA Test Type-01 Pseudo DMS Phase (Special Edition) action figure is a new addition to the ROBO-DOU line of figures based on Evangelion. This collectible depicts a unique version of the iconic mecha and features special paint that makes it appear to glow with energy, bringing the anime’s design to life.

The Newest Threezero Action Figure Recreates a Pivotal Rebuild of Evangelion Scene
The Special Edition of Threezero’s EVA Test Type-01 Pseudo DMS Phase figure is based on the movie Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. A dramatic moment in the film shows the EVA pilot, Shinji Ikari, pushing his mech beyond its limits, achieving a new, powerful form. This transformation is visually striking, featuring a halo above the EVA and the replacement of one of its arms.
This action figure is nearly 10 inches tall and packed with details. Its inner frame is made of strong zinc alloy, allowing for smooth and realistic posing so fans can recreate their favorite movie moments. The red parts of the figure glow under ultraviolet light thanks to a special UV-reactive paint. Plus, the eyes light up with LEDs, and the left arm features translucent plastic that gives the impression of glowing energy.
This collectible figure includes several extras: two pairs of hands, an alternate roaring head (without lights), its halo, battle-damaged chest armor revealing its energy core, and parts to create a special A.T. field effect. As a special edition, it also features a display base inspired by the 10th Angel, an additional Angel core piece, and a clear hand designed to hold that core.
Currently, the release date and price for this collectible figure outside of its initial market are unknown. However, considering threezero frequently releases similar items, there’s a good chance more will follow.
