Great news! They’ve announced more content for the upcoming season, and Season 14 will include a special crossover with another show created by Matt Groening.
Hulu has ordered three extra-long episodes, or “specials,” to go along with the fourteenth season of Futurama. These were announced at San Diego Comic-Con and described as being much longer than a typical episode. The first special will have a Christmas theme and is scheduled to premiere on Hulu in 2027. Details about the other two specials haven’t been released yet. A trailer for Season 14 was also shown at the event.
Futurama Season 14 Has a Crossover With Disenchantment
Matt Groening revealed that an episode in the upcoming fourteenth season of Futurama will feature a crossover with his other animated series, Disenchantment. Disenchantment, a medieval fantasy that ran on Netflix from 2018 to 2023, recently concluded its three-season run. It’s currently unknown if the Disenchantment characters will appear again beyond this single Futurama episode, but fans can look forward to seeing Bean and Luci make an appearance.
Following its cancellation, Futurama returned to Hulu in 2023 and quickly became popular with viewers. Because of this success, the show has been renewed through Season 14, set to premiere in August. While it’s unclear if there will be more full seasons beyond that, the current plan is to release three special episodes first. If the new season and these specials perform well, another renewal isn’t out of the question.
Fry and Friends Return in Futurama Season 14
The voice cast for Season 14 includes Billy West as Fry, Professor Farnsworth, and Doctor Zoidberg, Katey Sagal as Leela, Tress MacNeille as Mom and Linda van Schoonhoven, Maurice LaMarche as Lieutenant Kif Kroker, Morbo, and Calculon, Lauren Tom as Amy Wong, Phil Lamarr as Hermes Conrad, and David Herman as Scruffy and Turanga Morris.

Fry is unexpectedly frozen and wakes up in the year 3000. He then joins Planet Express Delivery Company and goes on exciting adventures across the universe with his new crew.
The fourteenth season of Futurama is coming to Hulu on August 3, 2026. The first two episodes will be available on both Hulu and Disney+ for those with a streaming bundle. After that, new episodes will be released every Monday.
