The episode count for has finally been revealed, and will be over before audiences even know it.
Hulu Support recently announced that the final part of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity will have ten episodes. This makes it the shortest season of the series since Season 7, which only had seven episodes and aired in 2009.
Bleach’s Final Season Will End With Just 10 Episodes
Fans worldwide are excited for the return of Bleach, the animated series based on Tite Kubo’s popular manga. The new season follows beloved characters like Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryū Ishida as they fight a world-altering battle connected to the long-held history of both the Soul Reapers and Quincies.
As the intense Thousand-Year Blood War between the Soul Reapers and Quincies reaches its climax, everything is on the brink of destruction. Squad Zero, the most powerful unit of Soul Reapers, faces Yhwach as he tries to break into the Royal Palace. Despite their efforts, Yhwach and his elite Royal Guard overwhelm Squad Zero, destroying their powerful Bankai abilities and finally gaining access to the Reio Greater Palace.
The story continues with Ichibe Hyosube asking Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends to guard the Soul King. However, Yhwach deceives Ichigo, leading him to accidentally strike down the Soul King. This act causes the three realms to begin to fall apart, with strange distortions and signs of disaster appearing everywhere. The Soul Reapers and the remaining Quincies team up and head towards the Royal Palace, only to find it has been taken over by the Wandenreich and turned into a new world called Wahr Welt. Inside the palace, the Royal Guard awaits them, a menacing presence against the skyline.
Last December, a short teaser trailer was released at Jump Festa, giving fans a first look. It starts with dark, unsettling black and white images before quickly shifting to vibrant, action-filled scenes showing the series’ main characters preparing for what appears to be their biggest battle yet.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is currently available for streaming on Hulu.
