Move Over Jurassic World, Jonathan Bailey And The Wicked Cast Have A New Twist On The Viral ‘Slutty Little Glasses’

As the launch of the 2025 movie guide commenced, it became clear that Jonathan Bailey had been cast in two highly anticipated projects: “Jurassic World” and “Wicked: For Good”. At the time, we had no idea that his now notorious ‘Slutty Little Glasses‘ would become a global phenomenon. However, after the initial sneak peek of Dr. Henry Loomis and company, followed by the full-length release, it was evident that the accessory was meant to be. Now, it appears that the glasses are making a comeback as the “Wicked” team reimagines the iconic eyewear.

This summer, Bailey’s trendy eyewear, known as the saucy specs, gained immense popularity. Bailey himself has been delighted by the internet’s response and has even incorporated them into his personal style. Moreover, this partnership with The Shameless Fund, his non-profit organization, has proven to be a clever move. The collaboration in question features Bailey’s fellow influential figures, along with stylish rose-tinted ‘SLGs’ from Cubitts. Here’s a look at the collaboration in its entirety.

Though Dr. Loomis’ original glasses may have been a simple accessory, Bailey has transformed them into quite the showstopper. It’s delightful to see comedians like Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode, as well as actors such as Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and even Ariana Grande, all joining in on the fun. This whole scene feels reminiscent of the humorous fashion parody from the movie Zoolander, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it – especially since it seems more people might be following Ariana Grande’s lead by revisiting their roles in Wicked.

Before delving deeper into discussions about revisiting the Emerald City, let’s remind ourselves of other notable moments from Jurassic World. Apart from his viral incident with the ‘Slutty Little Glasses,’ he generated significant attention due to his kiss with Scarlett Johansson at JWR events. However, it’s worth mentioning that he also played a clarinet solo in the latest dinosaur blockbuster’s soundtrack, but his red carpet entrances and spectacle glasses stole the show. Let’s take one last look at Dr. Loomis.

Currently, as of August 21st, we’re only three months from the debut of Part 2. We’ve had glimpses and hints about what lies ahead, like the trailer for “For Good” and subsequent advertisements. However, in comparison to the initial buzz, the run-up to this phase, particularly concerning press events, has been relatively subdued. I can’t wait until the cast of the Ozian adaptation starts promoting it more, at which point things are bound to get even more exciting! Here’s hoping that when it does, we see not just stylish outfits but also an array of fashionable accessories.

Regarding the glasses worn by Bailey in both “Jurassic World” and “Wicked,” I’m thrilled that he seems to adore them and continues to wear them. Fans like me can’t get enough, and it’s great to see that even his cast mates are joining in on the fun!

As a cinephile, I must say that if you haven’t already caught the live-action remake of the beloved ‘SLGs’ on the big screen or through Video On Demand services, then I strongly urge you to do so. Moreover, for those who are Peacock subscribers, you can now stream the initial segment of the stage play’s adaptation right at your fingertips.
