5 MCU Characters Tramell Tillman Could Play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Everyone’s curious about who Tramell Tillman might be taking on the role of in “Spider-Man: Fresh Start“.

After it was revealed that Tillman will feature in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (also known as Spider-Man 4), there’s been plenty of discussion about his character. Some speculate he might be a villain, but contrary to popular belief, ApocHorseman claims Tillman won’t portray Tombstone.

Though the Marvel universe is vast with countless characters to choose from, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly who Tillman might portray. Here, we offer up our top five speculations regarding which character he may be essaying within the MCU.

Who could Tramell Tillman play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Robbie Robertson

Robbie Robertson, a character from Marvel Comics who first appeared alongside Spider-Man (created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr.) in The Amazing Spider-Man #51 way back in 1967, hasn’t been introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) yet. It could be fitting to introduce him during the “Brand New Day” period of Spider-Man’s storyline. Moreover, bringing back J.K. Simmons, who previously portrayed this role in other adaptations, would add an extra layer of authenticity.

Alistair Smythe

As a die-hard Spidey fan, it’s been buzzing around the community that Alistair Smythe might be the primary antagonist in Spider-Man 4. If this theory pans out, I firmly believe Tillman could nail the role of the infamous Spider-Slayer, better known as Spider-Smasher. Should they write him correctly, he could potentially expand his villainous influence within the MCU post-Brand New Day, possibly opening up for a more significant role in the universe!

Jefferson Davis

Kevin Feige, in the past, has expressed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will not introduce Miles Morales until Sony’s Spider-Verse trilogy concludes. However, this does not rule out the possibility of setting up some secondary characters related to Miles Morales in advance. After all, Donald Glover has already portrayed Aaron Davis/Prowler, and a brief appearance by Miles’ father could be feasible in the upcoming Brand New Day, don’t you think?

Tarantula

There are numerous whispers suggesting that the infamous character Tarantula might make an appearance in Brand New Day. While he’s not anticipated to be the primary antagonist, it seems likely that he and Michael Mando’s Scorpion will have some sort of encounter, assuming he’s indeed part of the storyline. As for Tillman in his red suit, well, that could certainly add an exciting element!

Molecule Man

Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Given that the Russo Brothers/Marvel Studios appear to be following the general plotline from Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s comic, Molecule Man is expected to play a significant role in this story. However, since the MCU currently doesn’t have a character like Molecule Man, and with so many characters already planned for Doomsday and Secret Wars, it might be confusing to introduce him there. So, it’s possible that we could see a brief appearance of Molecule Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, allowing viewers to get familiarized with the character before his bigger role in subsequent movies.
