Apple TV has a mysterious new movie in the works, and now it has its first star.
Apple has been building a strong collection of original films, adding to its popular TV shows like Ted Lasso and Severance. Recent highlights include the Academy Award winner CODA, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, Brad Pitt’s F1: The Movie, and the romantic comedy Eternity, starring Elizabeth Olsen.
Zoë Kravitz is the newest addition to an upcoming Apple film, which will be directed by Megan Park. Currently, the movie doesn’t have a title and plot details are being kept secret. Park is collaborating with LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company behind popular films like Barbie, Saltburn, and a recent adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
Zoë Kravitz has been actively working as a director, recently making her debut with the 2024 thriller, Blink Twice. She starred with Channing Tatum in Blink Twice and alongside Austin Butler in last year’s dark comedy Caught Stealing, directed by Darren Aronofsky. This isn’t her first project with Apple TV either; Kravitz previously appeared as herself in the Emmy-winning comedy series, The Studio.
Zoe Kravitz won’t be reprising her role as Catwoman in the next Batman movie, and that fits with how her story ended. Her character, Selina Kyle, left Gotham City for Blüdhaven at the end of the first film, so it’s logical she won’t be heavily involved in the sequel. The focus now appears to be on Sebastian Stan, who is said to be playing Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face.
Zoë Kravitz has a busy schedule ahead, even with her work on The Batman finished. She’ll be back as Bonnie Carlson in the third season of the popular HBO series Big Little Lies, joining stars Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, and Laura Dern. She’s also starring in a new crime thriller called How to Rob a Bank with Nicholas Hoult, which is scheduled to come out on September 4, 2026.
Park Chan-wook wrote and directed the 2024 film My Old Ass, a funny and touching story about a woman who hallucinates and meets her older self, starring Aubrey Plaza and Maisy Stella. Park will also write, direct, and executive produce her next project, continuing her work with LuckyChap, a production company dedicated to supporting female directors and stories centered on women. This marks their second collaboration.
Following her recent work on My Old Ass, she’s releasing a new series called Sterling Point on Prime Video on August 5th. The drama stars Ella Rubin, Amélie Hoeferle, and Keen Ruffalo (Mark Ruffalo’s son), and she is the creator, director, executive producer, and co-showrunner. Details are still under wraps for her upcoming movie with Zoë Kravitz, but the collaboration promises to be a fascinating project.
