The number of viewers for the alien series set on Earth significantly increased with its impressive first showing, underscoring its significant influence within the franchise. In just a few days, the opening episode drew millions of viewers from various platforms.
Alien: Earth draws 9.2 million views in first six days
Disney calculated viewership on Hulu and Disney+ by dividing total streaming time by each episode’s length. It seems that FX’s traditional channel attracted even more viewers, though. The initial television series within the Alien franchise is “Alien: Earth,” which was developed by Noah Hawley and produced by FX Productions.
In terms of initial viewership, Agatha All Along amassed 9.3 million views within the first seven days, while The Acolyte saw 11.1 million in just five days. Zombies 4 reached 9.3 million viewers over a span of ten days. The Bear Season 3 Episode 1 garnered 5.4 million views during its first four days on release. Data for the viewership of The Bear’s Season 4 premiere is yet to emerge. Comparisons are somewhat restricted since Disney seldom shares FX-related streaming statistics. Nielsen, a company that measures media audiences, plans to disclose how many people streamed Alien: Earth approximately a month after its debut. (Adapted from Deadline)
In the year 2120, I find myself existing in a world dominated by five powerful corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. This Earth of ours is not what it once was, as cyborgs, synthetics, and even hybrids like me coexist with humans. In this series, Sydney Chandler’s Wendy, a unique hybrid prototype endowed with human consciousness, is introduced. After an unfortunate incident where a Weyland-Yutani spaceship collides with Prodigy City, I, along with other hybrids, encounter terrifying new life forms that threaten our very existence.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that this production boasts an outstanding ensemble with stars like Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Adarsh Gourav, Alex Lawther, Moe Bar-El, Adrian Edmondson, Kit Young, David Rysdahl, Erana James, Diêm Camille, Lily Newmark, Jonathan Ajayi, Samuel Blenkin, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver. What a lineup!
The third episode aired on Tuesday, August 19th, delving into the team’s homecoming and their encounter with a disconcerting experiment.
Future episodes of the eight-part season will air weekly on FX and stream on Hulu and Disney+.
