Terry Crews Went Shirtless To Pump Fans Up For AGT, But I’m More Obsessed With His Yellow Suit For The Season’s First Live Show

Terry Crews has been hosting NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” for seven years now, and he continues to pour in energy for the significant 20th season scheduled for 2025. The live qualifiers round started on August 19 with a powerful roster of talent, but Crews chose an unconventional approach to excite fans and encourage them to watch live. Known for his fitness, the star from “Everybody Hates Chris” went shirtless prior to the episode, but it’s his bright yellow suit on the “AGT” stage that might stand out even more in people’s minds.

Prior to the acrobatic duo Sirca Marea performing their routine on America’s Got Talent, Terry Crews shared a shirtless photo that held multiple meanings. Not only was it a reminder to get excited for the first live show of the season, but he certainly appeared as if he had been working out vigorously in the gym. Here’s the picture:

After an intense workout, Crews appears quite serious, in stark contrast to his lively self during the initial quarterfinals of Season 20 on America’s Got Talent. I always eagerly await the stylish suit that Crews will don each night on AGT, but this summer, his yellow suit with a purple shirt and matching pocket square might just take the cake! If you missed the live show, aren’t an AGT viewer, or are saving it for a Peacock subscription viewing later, be sure to check it out: [Link to the episode]

I think the suit wouldn’t be suitable if it was even a bit brighter yellow, but Terry Crews managed to pull off this shade and the purple, as far as I’m concerned. However, that doesn’t mean anyone else on America’s Got Talent stage could have pulled it off. Despite all the judges looking quite stylish for the live episode, I can hardly picture Howie Mandel or Simon Cowell wearing a yellow suit and purple shirt. Terry Crews certainly brings more to AGT than just hosting, and in Season 20, at least, he managed to outdo Cowell by hitting the golden buzzer.

This season of America’s Got Talent still has a lot more excitement to offer! [Spoiler Alert for August 19th episode] On the first live broadcast of the season, eleven acts graced the stage. Sofia Vergara used her golden buzzer for singer Steve Ray Ladson, but it was Jourdan Blue who really made an impact. His performance wasn’t just impressive; his journey has been remarkable as well.

It seems the singer was unwell and vomited three times quite recently before stepping onto the stage. Despite not securing the $1 million grand prize and the Vegas show, I still believe he should receive some recognition for his courage to perform that act live on TV! AGT spoilers.

To cast your votes for the three acts advancing to the next round of competition, you can use NBC’s AGT voting website, the America’s Got Talent app, or the NBC app. Voting ends at 7 a.m. Eastern Time on August 20, and the results will be announced that same day at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC.

In this paraphrase, I attempted to simplify some of the language and make it more conversational while still conveying the original meaning accurately. For example, I replaced “make it” with “advancing,” which is a more common way of saying that in casual conversation. Additionally, I used “cast your votes for” instead of “vote for” to make the sentence sound less formal and more like something someone might say when talking about voting on a TV show. Finally, I changed the phrase “the results announced” to “the results will be announced” to make it clear that the announcement has not yet occurred at the time of speaking.
