The Star Wars Jedi series is one of the strongest additions to the Star Wars universe in recent years, offering a compelling and unified story across both games. The series follows Cal Kestis, a Jedi Knight who managed to survive the devastating Order 66, which nearly wiped out the Jedi Order.
Cal Kestis has quickly become a fan favorite throughout the first two games, and Respawn Entertainment is currently working on the third. However, he hasn’t been in many scenes yet, and fans are hoping to see him play a larger role and show up in other stories within the Star Wars universe.
A fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked if people would like to see Cal Kestis in more Star Wars stories. Another user replied, saying they really want a sequel to the Jedi game and for the character to appear in a live-action movie or show. While a new game is already in development, the idea of seeing Cal Kestis on screen is appealing, especially considering the actor’s striking resemblance to the character.
Fans flooded the comments section with enthusiastic agreement, and many urged the franchise creators to further develop the character.
One commenter expressed strong enthusiasm for having the actual actor play the role in a live-action adaptation, stating it would be fantastic and that it’s a must-see opportunity.
One person suggested the character could appear in the game because he isn’t too strong, unlike many other starting characters. They also insisted Cameron Monaghan should be the one to play him.
Some fans are waiting to see how the story concludes in the third game before deciding if they want the character to return in future projects. One fan explained they’d prefer not to see the character reappear if the trilogy ends happily, fearing something negative would happen to him.
It’s rare to see characters from the original Star Wars video games appear in other stories. This is usually because they’re incredibly powerful, and adding them to the main Star Wars universe would create conflicts with established lore. Fortunately, Cal Kestis isn’t that powerful, falling within a typical range for a Jedi. Hopefully, this means we’ll see him appear in other Star Wars content sometime in the future.
