Work on the next James Bond movie, currently known as Bond 26, is starting to move forward with some exciting new progress.
Currently known as Bond 26, the next James Bond film will be a fresh start for the series after Daniel Craig finished playing the iconic spy. The movie is expected to begin filming around 2027 and could be released in 2028 or beyond. A new actor has been cast as 007, and the film will show a younger version of the character.
Amazon MGM Studios told attendees at CinemaCon they’re looking for a new James Bond, but won’t rush the decision. Courtenay Valenti, head of film, acknowledged the excitement around the casting and emphasized the studio is being careful and deliberate in its search. She explained they’re treating the opportunity to reimagine the iconic character and franchise with great respect and understand the weight of the responsibility.
