Peacock is updating its streaming library for a new month! While Peacock doesn’t have a ton of original shows – just one new sci-fi comedy that looks really addictive – it’s adding a lot of popular movies and other exclusive content in April 2025.
We’ve picked out the best new movies and TV shows arriving on Peacock to make it easy for you to find something to watch. You’ll also find a full list of everything coming to Peacock in April, with dates showing when each title becomes available.
MovieWeb Staff Picks for What’s New to Peacock in April 2026
- Airplane! (1980) Apr. 1st: Airplane! is an undeniable classic of slapstick and over-the-top comedy; surely you’ve heard of it at least (Don’t call me Shirley). Still, there has been a bit of a resurgence in interest in the gag-heavy comedy thanks to the success of Liam Neeson’s Naked Gun film, so this is a chance for younger fans to check out a classic, and for older ones to revisit a classic.
- Dead Poets Society (1989) Apr. 1st: Dead Poets Society left quite the mark on audiences, leading to many films following a similar formula. Of course, Robin Williams is phenomenal here, but it is the exploration of the students’ lives, which touches on emotional, philosophical, and coming-of-age themes told with authenticity, that resonated with so many.
- Let Him Go (2020) Apr. 1st: While not a perfect film, the Diane Lane and Kevin Costner-led feature delivers a cathartic, gripping thriller as two grandparents fight to save their grandson. The whole affair is an emotional roller-coaster worth checking out as it lands as a Peacock exclusive.
- The Miniature Wife (Season One) Apr. 9: Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen star (and also act as producers) in what looks to be like a quirky, highly bingeable comedy. Smart and slightly offbeat, as the only Peacock original drama for the month, this one is an absolute must-watch for subscribers.
- Ordinary Angels Apr. 21: A straightforward, emotionally driven story about flawed people doing good can be the ideal pick-me-up. Here, Hilary Swank gives a highly emotional performance as she commits her life to helping a sick child while still trying to deal with her own faults.
Major New Peacock Originals, Exclusives & Returning Series In April 2026
- Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Apr. 3: The popular video game adaptation, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, is a direct sequel to the first game, where animatronics come to life and terrorize. While the second film was not as well-received, if you want to watch both back-to-back, the original Five Nights at Freddy’s also arrives as a Peacock exclusive on April 26.
- Strays Apr. 6: Golden retriever Reggie (voiced by Will Ferrell) loves his owner, despite being treated poorly and constantly abandoned. When his owner leaves, again, Reggie teams up with some street-wise dogs to find his owner; only this time for revenge. Rated-R raunchy comedy at its most over-the-top.
- The Miniature Wife Apr. 9: An already strained relationship gets all the more chaotic when Lindy (Elizabeth Banks) is accidentally shrunk to miniature size by her husband Les (Matthew Macfadyen). Les tries to help Lindy but soon begins to enjoy having the upper hand, while Lindy tries to maintain her authority.
- Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken Apr. 20: The animated film takes place underwater, following a shy, awkward high school student, Ruby, who learns of her true destiny and is tasked to save her people. An underappreciated and uplifting entry from DreamWorks Animation, the whole family can enjoy.
- Nosferatu Apr. 21: Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu finally finds a home on streaming as a Peacock exclusive. A modern take on the classic story, Nosferatu blends horror and eroticism under the director’s skilled hand.
