Robert Pattinson says he will start preparing for The Batman 2 in a week

Robert Pattinson says he’ll start getting ready for ‘The Batman Part 2’ almost immediately after wrapping up promotion for his current movie, ‘The Drama.’ He mentioned on the French talk show C à vous that he expects the press tour to end in about a week, and then he’ll dive right into Batman preparations, adding that the script for the sequel is ‘so, so good.’

The actor called the script “extraordinary” and told Deadline he believes the upcoming movie will be truly special and quite different from the previous one. He said reading it was a surprising experience, and he’s excited to see how it turns out, noting that the filmmakers are taking some bold risks.

Director Matt Reeves shared that he sent Robert Pattinson the script in a secure, coded package to keep it confidential. Reeves previously described Pattinson’s reaction as crucial, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “He is Batman, so his approval mattered a lot.” Reeves was optimistic, believing Pattinson would connect with the script because it explored Batman and Bruce Wayne in a completely new and unique way.

Sebastian Stan will play Harvey Dent, the District Attorney of Gotham City. Mike Marino, the makeup artist who turned Colin Farrell into The Penguin, is also working on the film. Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast, and rumors suggest she’ll be playing Harvey’s wife, Gilda Dent.

The sequel to The Batman is scheduled for release on October 1, 2027, which is about five and a half years after the original movie came out.
