Taylor Sheridan is a major force in television right now. Ever since his show Yellowstone premiered in 2018, he’s created a string of successful series. And that success continues today, with two new shows and several popular ones already available on streaming platforms.
Though many recognize Taylor Sheridan as Deputy David Hale from Sons of Anarchy, he’s become a major name through his work as a writer and director. He wrote popular films like Sicario and Hell or High Water, then directed the critically acclaimed Wind River. He then created Yellowstone, which quickly became a massive cultural phenomenon.
I’ve been a huge fan since his first big show, and it’s amazing to see how much it’s grown! It’s already spawned three spin-offs, and another one, Dutton Ranch, is coming soon. What’s really impressive is how he’s moved beyond westerns – he’s doing crime shows, dramas, thrillers, and everything is hitting big on streaming, even months or years after it first comes out. Seriously, right now, five of his shows are in the top 10 worldwide on Paramount+, which proves he’s still a massive draw for them, even though he’s leaving soon.
Taylor Sheridan Is a Global Phenomenon

Since teaming up with Paramount in 2018, Taylor Sheridan has rapidly become a major force in television. Often compared to Norman Lear for his talent in dramatic storytelling, his recent billion-dollar agreement with NBCUniversal will expand his influence as he continues to deliver popular shows.
Before leaving Paramount, Sheridan is making a significant and lasting impact. Currently, his newest show, Marshals, is the most popular series on Paramount+, and his family drama, The Madison, is third in the Global Top 10, according to Flix Patrol. It’s unlikely someone will replicate this level of success at Paramount+ anytime soon.
On top of everything else, Yellowstone is the fourth most-watched show on the streaming platform. Other series created by Taylor Sheridan are also performing incredibly well, with Tulsa King at number six and Landman at number ten. Consider this: half of the top ten shows are from Sheridan – that’s a remarkable accomplishment.
Taylor Sheridan Will Surely Have Another Hit Come May 2026
Sheridan’s latest TV shows, Marshals and The Madison, are both performing well on streaming platforms, proving he remains a popular figure with television audiences. He’s expected to continue this success in May with Dutton Ranch, which, similar to Marshals, is a continuation of the story from Yellowstone.
The new series, which director Greg Yaitanes compares to a sixth season of Yellowstone, centers on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler (played by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser) as they attempt to establish a life on a 7,000-acre ranch. The nine-episode first season premieres May 15th on Paramount+.
