Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver and Jon Favreau unite in new Star Wars video

Star Wars recently shared a new video on social media to promote The Mandalorian and Grogu. The video includes scenes from the show, as well as interviews with Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jon Favreau, who discuss what it was like making the series and developing Grogu’s personality.

The video opens with Pascal questioning the camera operators, “Are we filming?” They respond, “We’re recording.” Then, the actor who plays Din Djarin greets Grogu and gently tickles him.

Favreau told Pascal that his connection with Grogu developed naturally. Pascal explained that it began hesitantly, but quickly grew into a very strong bond.

Favreau then discussed how he and the team developed the relationship between Grogu and Din Djarin. He explained that Grogu started as someone who needed Din’s help and protection, but gradually became more independent and capable.

Weaver points out that Pedro Pascal is more than just good-looking, and Pascal himself agrees. Favreau elaborates, explaining that the show has become about both the Mandalorian character and Grogu, the child character.

Weaver discussed her role in the new movie, explaining she plays an officer for the New Republic who is looking for someone she can rely on. When asked about Grogu, the actress, known for her work in Avatar, playfully referred to him as ‘this little snack eater,’ suggesting she’s still getting to know him.

Favreau explains that his goal with the movie was to recreate the wonder he felt when he first experienced Star Wars. He also mentions they combined cutting-edge technology with traditional filmmaking techniques during production.

Pascal described the movie set as the best he’d ever worked on, comparing the experience to the thrill of an amusement park ride. Favreau added that he wanted to recreate that initial excitement for a new generation of viewers.
