New Teen Titans Debut As The Team Makes A Comeback With Twist

The has a brand-new team of Titans, and they are already a massive problem for the originals.

In New Titans #33, written by Tate Brombal with art by Sami Basri, Adriano Lucas, and Tom Napolitano, the team faces a series of challenges. Meanwhile, Nightwing receives strange messages from their coffee pot and starts to take his frustration out on it. Just as Jon Kent leads the New Titans through the door, it becomes clear they’re trapped in a frightening simulation or dream.

In DC Comics’ New Titans #33, the story asks: who are the New Titans? Having just saved the world from disaster, the team is finally back at Titans Tower, enjoying some well-earned downtime and being together again.

I’m seriously hooked! This new story is starting to feel a little too perfect, and it’s got me wondering if these Titans are really who they say they are. Plus, if they can’t even trust each other, how can they save anyone? I’m so excited to see what Tate Brombal and Sami Basri do with this next generation of heroes – it feels like a fresh start!

Issue #33 of New Titans is a significant moment for the series, officially introducing a new team lineup. Led by Jon Kent, who is also Superman, the New Titans now include Yara Flor, known as Wonder Girl, and Red Devil. However, it seems likely that none of these heroes are quite what they seem, and their very existence may be questionable.

DC Comics Is No Stranger To World-Threatening Events

While the new Titans’ arrival is surprising, the story behind it isn’t unusual for the team. Just a year ago, they faced a remarkably similar situation.

Although the Titans might be stuck in a dangerous, artificial reality, things are actually looking up for them compared to a month ago. Issue #32 of Titans concluded the team’s fight to save the Multiverse, a conflict sparked by the events in DC K.O., where Darkseid almost triggered a massive crisis.

Even though Darkseid is defeated, the DC Universe isn’t necessarily safe. Another major crisis is already planned – one that’s being described as “Absolute.” We know there will be an “Absolute” version of this event, but it’s unclear when it will happen.

New Titans #33 from DC Comics is on sale now.
