Chris Hemsworth’s Crime 101 Sets Early Prime Video Release in April 2026

The recent movie starring Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo didn’t perform well despite getting great reviews initially. It ended up being one of the most forgotten films of 2026.

Good news for fans of Crime 101: the movie will be available to stream on Prime Video starting April 1st. This release is happening sooner than expected, as the film only just came out in theaters on February 13th and hadn’t been available for digital rental or purchase yet.

With a release window of 47 days, Crime 101 will become available on streaming services relatively quickly. While this is a bit longer than the 30-day streaming release for the Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans film Red One, Red One did have a theatrical run in November 2024 before streaming in December to capitalize on the holiday season. Red One has become a popular Christmas movie, topping charts during the holidays for the past two years.

Meanwhile, Crime 101 might become an action masterpiece, but there isn’t a holiday around to save it.

Crime 101 Had a Positive Release

Bart Layton wrote and directed this thrilling crime story, which is based on Don Winslow’s 2020 novella. The film, titled Crime 101, boasts a talented cast including Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry, and Barry Keoghan, along with Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.

Crime 101 debuts on Prime Video on Apr. 1.
