Sony is releasing a new game next month that’s sure to excite fans of Street Fighter, particularly those who remember playing the original Street Fighter 2 in arcades during the 1990s.
On April 9, 2026, PlayStation and Sony will launch the Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick, a special controller designed to look like the classic Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition game. Made by Turtle Beach, this officially licensed fight stick works with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PCs. It features iconic artwork from Street Fighter 2, including Ryu and the famous Player Select screen.
A Nostalgic PlayStation Fight Stick Is Unveiled
Fight sticks are controllers designed to recreate the feel of classic arcade machines. While they aim to capture that retro experience, modern fight sticks have moved away from traditional joysticks, now using directional buttons instead. Most players prefer this updated design because it allows for more accurate and controlled movements, even though it still reminds them of the original arcade cabinets.
From the official description, the controller includes the following features:
- Fully Customizable Leverless Fight Stick: Customize your stick with 16 movable buttons, hot swappable Cherry MX Speed Silver RGB switches, and removable top plate to adjust button positioning or change switches.
- Travel Made Easy: Transporting your grear has been made easy with a premium slim size, built-in storage for your switches, button caps, light rings, button covers.
- Key Tournament Settings and Features: Avoid accidental DQs with the built-in Tournament Lock Switch allowing you to disable the top bar. Easily jump from PlayStation 5 console, PlayStation 4 console, and PC with the built-in console switch mode.
- Millions of Color Combinations: Customize RGB light rings around the buttons for a standout display that outshines the competition, adjustable via the Victrix Control Hub app.
The New Controller Isn’t Cheap
However, the Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick isn’t inexpensive. The Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition version costs $299.99, but a more affordable option is also available. This other fight stick, without the Street Fighter 2 branding, is currently $229.99 – down from $279.99 – but this price is only good until April 6th. You can buy that version right now.
So, I just heard the news – PlayStation’s raising the prices on their consoles. It’s a bummer, honestly. They’re saying it’s because of the global economy and how expensive everything’s getting, especially stuff like RAM. It looks like the PS5 Pro is going to be around $899.99, which is a full $200 more than what the original PS5 cost when it first came out. It’s definitely going to make upgrading a little tougher.
The Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick designed for Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition comes out on April 9th, but you can order it now in advance.
