$400+ Lightning Lane Premier Pass Sold Out For Full Week at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World’s fastest pass option, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, was completely booked for an entire week at Magic Kingdom. It also sold out on popular days at other Disney World parks.

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass is an extra purchase that lets you skip the regular lines at all participating attractions in one park, for a single day. It’s available in limited quantities, and the price changes depending on the park, date, and how busy the park is expected to be.

Selling Out at Magic Kingdom

I was amazed to see that Magic Kingdom’s Premier Pass completely sold out for seven days straight, from February 12th to the 18th! It makes perfect sense though, as that’s a really popular time to visit with Valentine’s Day and President’s Day so close together. I heard the price went up to $449 per person before it was no longer available – wow!

Because passes sold out quickly for a long time, families and groups had to make plans far ahead of time. At almost $450 per person, this special access option would cost a family of four nearly $1,800, on top of their regular park tickets, which usually cost between $150 and $200 per day. Even with this high price, the passes continued to sell out each day.

If a date is unavailable in the My Disney Experience app, the option will be grayed out, meaning you can’t buy tickets for that day. This happens when Disney has sold all the available tickets for a specific park on that date.

Other Parks

Sell-outs of the Premier Pass are not limited to Magic Kingdom.

Guests are buying out select days for Lightning Lane Premier Passes at the other parks as well.

  • EPCOT: February 14 and 16
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: February 13, 14, and 15
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: No current sold out dates at the moment.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass

When you can buy the Lightning Lane Premier Pass depends on where you’re staying. Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels or partner hotels can purchase it up to seven days before their trip. For everyone else, the pass becomes available three days in advance.

I’ve noticed that sometimes, items sell out really quickly – even before people with regular tickets get a chance to buy them. It’s frustrating, but I understand it’s just how the system works sometimes!

As a big theme park fan, I’ve been watching the Lightning Lane Premier Pass sell out again and again, and it just shows how much people want to skip those long lines, especially when the parks are crowded. I get why some folks are upset, though – it can easily cost as much as a regular ticket, maybe even more, which definitely puts it out of reach for some families. But honestly, judging by how quickly they’re selling out, a lot of people are clearly finding it worth the money and enjoying the convenience. This week’s sell-outs prove it!
