If you’re looking for something to watch on Prime Video this weekend, I’ve got a good idea! I think a three-movie marathon would be perfect, and these films flow together nicely. Last week, I recommended checking out Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, Charlie’s Angels, and Love Me Love Me – they’re all really fun!
Prime Video’s new movie lineup feels more consistent in style and type of film. Spy thriller fans will especially find a lot to enjoy, and there’s also a great new series that will fill the void left by the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
3. The Bluff (2026)
Currently, the most popular movie on Prime Video, both in the U.S. and globally, is The Bluff. Released on February 25th, this new Prime Video Original is definitely worth watching this weekend if you haven’t seen it yet.
In The Bluff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays a former pirate trying to live a quiet life on a remote island. Her peace is shattered when Karl Urban, known for his role in The Boys, arrives as a determined captain, kicking off an exciting and action-packed adventure filled with sword fights and thrilling sequences. The Bluff is a unique, mature-themed pirate thriller that brings something new to Prime Video.
2. Blacklight (2022)
Still talking about exciting movies, another popular title on Prime Video is Blacklight. It’s currently the 6th most-watched movie in the U.S. This spy thriller features Liam Neeson, a well-known and popular actor in action films, thanks to his roles in movies like Taken, Batman Begins, and The Grey, among others.
Viewers on Rotten Tomatoes gave Blacklight a strong 82% rating, indicating that audiences are likely to enjoy this action thriller starring Liam Neeson. He plays Travis Block, an FBI agent who secretly helps undercover operatives. However, Block soon finds himself caught up in a surprising and dangerous government plot.
1. Black Bag (2025)
Rounding out the list is another spy thriller that complements Liam Neeson’s Blacklight, making for an exciting three-movie marathon for Prime Video viewers. Black Bag boasts a fantastic cast, including Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh, Black Bag centers on George T. Woodhouse, played by Fassbender, a British intelligence officer tasked with uncovering a security leak within just one week. The prime suspect? His wife, Kathryn St. Jean, portrayed by Blanchett, who leads signal operations for the National Cyber Security Centre. Packed with suspense, mind games, and unexpected turns, Black Bag makes for a thrilling conclusion to your weekend on Prime Video.
