If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, Prime Video has some great options! There’s a brand new movie just added, plus two other good choices if you’d rather stay in than go to the theater to finish out March. Last week, I recommended Agent Zeta, Drop, and Novocaine on Prime Video.
This month’s recommendations feature a Prime Video original movie, plus two films you might not have seen in theaters. This weekend’s picks are packed with excitement, offering thrilling stories full of action, mystery, and drama. In fact, one of these movies is currently the most popular on Prime Video!
3. Mercy (2026)
Leading the list is the film Mercy, which many are discovering is better than its initial box office numbers indicate. The movie stars Chris Pratt as a detective accused of murdering his wife. He has just 90 minutes to convince an AI judge – played by Rebecca Ferguson, known for her role in Dune – of his innocence, or he’ll be found guilty and executed.
The movie is a gripping watch, blending science fiction with a tense mystery as the main character, played by Pratt, struggles to uncover the truth about his wife while held captive. It always felt like a perfect fit for a streaming service, and it’s not shocking that it’s currently the most popular movie on Prime Video globally, even though it didn’t do well in theaters.
2. I Saw the TV Glow (2024)
If you’re looking for a good horror movie to watch before it disappears, check out I Saw the TV Glow. It’s a suspenseful film about a teenager grappling with his identity after becoming fascinated by a strange late-night television program.
This captivating movie explores what makes us who we are, using supernatural themes and a genuinely creepy atmosphere. It’s a powerful and unsettling film that slowly unravels its characters with difficult subjects and horror. As of today, I Saw the TV Glow will be removed from Prime Video in the US in just four days, according to JustWatch.
1. Pretty Lethal (2026)
The R-rated thriller Pretty Lethal became available on Prime Video on March 25th and has quickly become one of the platform’s most popular movies, currently ranking as the 3rd most-watched worldwide. The film follows five ballerinas who are forced to spend the night at a creepy roadside inn after their bus breaks down while traveling to a competition.
Uma Thurman plays the innkeeper, a once-promising ballerina who isn’t thrilled to see a new group arrive. The new movie on Prime Video is a wildly violent and creative action film, cleverly using ballet moves in the fights, making it a perfect weekend watch. Viewers on Prime Video should enjoy all three films.
