2 Horrifying Void Designs Released as Thunderbolts* Streams on Disney+

Two fresh concept art images depicting a darker version of Lewis Pullman’s character Sentry, known as the Void, from the film “Thunderbolts” have surfaced online. The new designs exude an eerier and more terrifying vibe than the portrayal of the Void in the final movie. Released in May 2025, “Thunderbolts” marked the debut of both Sentry and the Void within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

More recently, a user known as Belovabolts posted multiple character concept art sketches for the Thunderbolts*, such as the enigmatic figure called The Void, on their (previously Twitter) platform. These sketches offer fresh perspectives of the characters, and notably, the depiction of The Void appears to differ significantly from the appearance fans observed in the film.

*Thunderbolts is a fictional team of supervillains that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Instead of simply sharing an all-black image of ‘Void’, Belovabolts posted an image tinted with a blood red hue, adding a touch of intensity. Accompanying the picture, they enthusiastically expressed, “This depiction of Void would have been truly badass!

The user posted another picture featuring the Void with a cape resembling tentacles and exclaimed, “Wow, this is just mind-blowing!

In Thunderbolts, Lewis Pullman portrays a sinister counterpart to the Sentry character named The Void, who served as the film’s primary antagonist.

In an interview with Marvel.com in May, Pullman explained how he aimed to depict the characters Bob, Sentry, and Void in the film as aspects of a single individual rather than separate personalities that jump around or switch codes. He wanted to ensure it was always evident that they were all facets of one person.

As a captivated movie-goer, I must confess that embodying Sentry and Void proved to be a far more visceral experience than I had initially anticipated. Initially, I delved deep into the psychological intricacies of the characters.
