Even though the original manga finished years ago, new products, toys, and collectibles are still being released. The latest additions to the S.H. Figuarts line are currently being showcased in Japan.
I just saw the new Sailor Moon R Crystal Star Compact Edition figure at Tamashii Nation 2025! It’s the first new figure of this character in years, and it’s modeled after her look from the original anime. They haven’t announced when it will be released or given many details yet, but apparently, this figure is something fans have been requesting for over ten years!
The Latest Sailor Moon R Collectible Is Now Being Shown at Tamashii Nations 2025
At Tamashii Nation 2025, S.H. Figuarts unveiled a new Sailor Moon figure. This version is based on her appearance in Sailor Moon R and features her holding the Eternal Tiare rod. Early photos show the figure is highly posable, with many points of articulation for creating dynamic poses.
This looks like a nearly finished prototype, even though it’s still in development. It’s about 5.5 inches tall, but not much else is known about the new toy yet. The event is wrapping up, but the figure – and its price – should be announced in December.
The creation of collectibles for the S.H. Figuarts line has a lengthy process. Back in 2015, early versions of a Sailor Moon R Sailor Moon figure and a Wiseman figure were displayed. However, after ten years, official plans to release these toys have never been made.
I recently spotted what seems to be the Sailor Moon R toy everyone’s been waiting for – it’s amazing to see it reappear after ten years! It’s just one of many things being released for the Sailor Moon franchise, which clearly still has a huge and dedicated fanbase spanning multiple generations. They’re releasing all sorts of cool stuff, from figures to clothing and even everyday items inspired by the classic Magical Girl series.
