Look, I love a good anthology series, but they’re surprisingly hard to pull off. One weak episode can really ruin the whole season, and if the creators are too focused on making every story feel exactly the same, it can get pretty boring, you know? It just ends up feeling predictable and samey.

Good news for fans eager to see how Moriarty becomes a villain! Prime Video has confirmed that Young Sherlock will be back for a second season. The show reunited Guy Ritchie with the Sherlock Holmes universe after his two films, and he’ll be involved as an executive producer and director. Ritchie will also direct the first episode of the new season.

This summer, audiences in the United States will be able to see the latest Spider-Man movie, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, in the film, which is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Wonder Man and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The hopeful vision of humans and aliens collaborating to explore space in Star Trek motivated NASA’s actual space program. In the 1970s, due to a huge campaign by fans, President Gerald Ford named the Space Shuttle Enterprise. Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Uhura, even worked with NASA to encourage women and minorities to pursue careers in science and space exploration.

Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series has plenty of source material for adaptations – more than could ever be used! While the new Frances Neagley spinoff can draw plot ideas from the books, Neagley isn’t as fleshed out a character as Reacher. This gives the show creators a great opportunity to build her personality and backstory from the ground up.

The recent hit movie, Thrash, offers a great example of this. It features numerous sharks invading a town overtaken by hurricane floodwaters. The bloody water stirs them into a feeding frenzy, and it’s a thrilling experience for fans of Jaws seeking a fresh, exciting adventure.

According to Atlantico Hoy, filming for the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been halted because of damage caused by Storm Therese. The storm led to severe flooding at Las Niñas Dam, where the show was being filmed. Production had started in Belfast, Ireland, but moved to Gran Canaria, Spain, to take advantage of the scenery. Unfortunately, the area experienced an unprecedented amount of rainfall – the most in 15 years – forcing a cancellation.

David Letterman, the former host of the late-night talk show now hosted by Stephen Colbert, recently discussed the transition on The Barbara Gaines Show. Letterman hosted The Late Show for over twenty years, starting in 1993, and Colbert has continued the show for another eleven years.

Jeremy Strong is replacing Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming film. The cast also includes Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Bill Burr, Wunmi Mosaku, Billy Magnussen, and Betty Gilpin. The story focuses on Frances Haugen (played by Madison) who, with the help of Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (Allen White), reveals Facebook’s internal secrets, leading to public scrutiny. Sony recently shared a sneak peek of the film at an industry event, though no footage has been released to the public yet.
